The winner of Miss Italy 2023 is a UniCamillus student. Her name is Francesca Bergesio, she is 19 years old and comes from Bra, in the province of Cuneo. She is enrolled in the first year of the MSc Medicine and Surgery at the UniCamillus University in Rome. The joy of receiving the title last Saturday at the ceremony in Salsomaggiore Terme, in the province of Parma, which hosted the event for the first time in 13 years, was accompanied by the applause of the entire roman University, which is delighted to be able to accompany her on her academic journey towards the future, enabling her to pursue her dreams.
Speaking to the press shortly after her proclamation, Francesca shared her feelings about the title, saying: “We women are strong and need to achieve our independence. I want to be a doctor, specialising in cardiothoracic surgery, but for now I don’t want to give up the world of fashion and cinema. That’s why I want to combine my studies with other activities for as long as possible.”
Hoping that she will be able to achieve all her ambitions, UniCamillus Rector Gianni Profita, who received the news, wanted to congratulate the young student, the newly crowned Miss Italy: “I congratulate this girl on the milestone she has reached, and I sincerely hope that it is only the first of many. May it be the beginning of a great future for her. At UniCamillus, where she has recently started her studies, we will do everything we can to ensure that she, like all our students, receives the best possible education so that she can build her life on knowledge and competence”.
