Rome, 2020/01/31 – The meeting between the Rector Gianni Profita and the Ambassador of Burundi Espérance Ndayizeye, took place today at the UniCamillus headquarters.
An opportunity of great prestige, knowledge and cooperation. The Rector explained to the Ambassador the main mission of the University: to prepare doctors and health workers from all over the world to respond also to the needs of the least developed countries.
During the meeting, it was also underlined that the University makes available numerous scholarships in the form of a “loan of honor”, completely extinguished if, after graduation, the professionals return to practice the activities in their fatherland, identified together with the University, for a period of at least three years.
The Ambassador was very interested about this initiative, defining it as a great opportunity for young people from Burundi who will be able to study in Italy at an International Medical University. Her Excellency, after praising the mission of the University and thanking the Rector Profita for UniCamillus’ commitment to supporting deserving and motivated non-EU learners, ensured the utmost commitment to promoting the University in their country and to the future collaborations.
