Intesa Sanpaolo recognized the social importance of UniCamillus’ educational offer.
The scholarships will be awarded to UniCamillus non-European students who distinguished themselves for greater merit during their academic career.
They are granted as a support of Intesa Sanpaolo to higher education and to Italian universitites.
UniCamillus University will award 13 scholarships granted by Intesa Sanpaolo to as many non-European students engaged in scientific research and study of pandemics and health emergencies, such as TB, HIV-AIDS and malaria, which still affect most of the countries in the South of the world, and with the aim of promoting graduation thesis on the study of the Covid19 emergency management.
Since its establishment, UniCamillus has always paid great attention to young studnets coming from less developed countries. The mission of the University is to train all students to become doctors and health professionals, particularly focused also on the diseases of the unpriviledged countries.
The educational offer of the Faculty of Medicine includes two Master’s Degree Courses, one in Medicine and Surgery and the other in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and five Bachelor’s Degree Courses in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques and Midwifery.
The University is aimed at Italian and foreign learners and, despite being only at the beginning of its third academic year, has the highest rate of international students in Europe: 256 coming from 34 Countries, from Bangladesh to Camerun and Haiti.
Through the scholarships provided by Intesa Sanpaolo, the social importance of the work that UniCamillus is carrying out takes on an exceptional importance for the prestige and authority conferred by one of the most important Italian financial institutions.
