A new era began on March 9, 2020. Never in human history has there been a pandemic that has involved and upset all the countries of the world in this way. Among the many realities upset by this tsunami, education is one of those that have suffered most from this unprecedented situation. Digital technology has allowed, in many cases, to continue working remotely, including the most modern and equipped universities.
Technology has allowed us to stay connected with students and continue our work. We had to adapt to this new situation. Over the months we have learned to live in this new normal. It would seem that we have become used to keeping our distance with our fellow men.
But on Monday 28th we finally came back to the classroom, after 7 months away. It was a particular emotion. The passion for teaching allows us, despite the many precautions, to go back behind the chair, to teach, to train our students.
How we missed being able to look our students in the eye, and be able to answer their questions, dispel their doubts!
Although they are very useful, no remote lecture can ever replace the life experience within the university. At the beginning, fear was visible among the learners. Then they seemed satisfied with how things were organized and managed. The commitment that has always distinguished us allows us to move forward, in the hope that what we have experienced is no longer necessary and that man will be able to develop a vaccine that allows us to return to the life of the pre-Covid era.
