The Advanced Implant Dentistry (AID) Master Program is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course designed for general dentists who have already taken their first steps in implantology and aim to further enhance their clinical expertise. This program is ideal for professionals who have experience placing implants and seek to refine their skills while deepening their scientific knowledge to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based treatments.
The 18-month modular program is structured to accommodate the busy schedules of practicing clinicians. It employs a blended learning model, integrating in-person training with online education. Participants will need to travel five times to designated university centers for immersive hands-on sessions, live surgeries, and interactive lectures led by a distinguished international faculty.
The Istituto Stomatologico Toscano (IST), under the leadership of Prof. Ugo Covani, is the primary partner of this Master Program.

Attendance Requirements:
Participants must attend at least 80% of the total hours of the Master Program. The six teaching modules, each lasting five days, will be delivered in a blended format:
- The first module will be fully online
- The remaining five modules will be on-site at university centers
Upon activation of the Master Program (after the enrolment deadline), the official schedule will be communicated. Any changes will be promptly notified via email.
Available Seats:
The program requires a minimum of 15 participants to be activated. The maximum capacity is 30 students.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, UniCamillus reserves the right to cancel the program and issue a full refund of any fees paid.
TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Module 1: Fundamentals and Maxillofacial Anatomy
- Overview of the Master Course: objectives and structure.
- Importance of continuous education in oral implantology.
- Maxillary and mandibular anatomy for implant placement.
- Remote observation of live surgical procedures performed by the professor, broadcasted in real-time.
Module 2: Bone Biology and Surgical Approaches
- Fundamentals of bone biology and healing in implantology
- Patient selection and pre-treatment evaluation
- Advanced radiological diagnostics and digital planning
- Surgical planning and computer-guided surgery
- Flap design, osteotomy techniques, and soft tissue preservation
- Immediate loading protocols: criteria, biomechanics, and case selection
Module 3: Complex Implant Surgery
- Full-Arch Rehabilitation and Complex Implant Surgery
- Full-arch fixed implant solutions: All-on-4, All-on-6 and variations
- Bone augmentation techniques and sinus lifting
- Prosthetically driven implant placement and digital workflows
- Hands-on practical training with simulation models
- Occlusion and biomechanics in full-arch rehabilitations
Module 4: Soft Tissue Management and Aesthetic Considerations
- Biological characteristics of peri-implant soft tissues
- Strategies for preserving and augmenting soft tissues
- Connective tissue grafts and flap techniques for aesthetic enhancement
- Influence of prosthetic design on soft tissue stability
- Aesthetic considerations in smile design
Module 5: Prosthetic Solutions and Digital Implantology
- Prosthetic components and implant-abutment connections
- Materials in implant prosthetics: zirconia, titanium, and hybrid solutions
- Digital impression techniques and CAD/CAM workflows
- Guided surgery and 3D printing applications in implantology

Responsible for the Scientific Research at the Tuscan Stomatologic Institute – research fundation – http://www.istitutostomatologicotoscano.com (Lido di Camaiore, Italy), Doctor of Philosophy in Nanotechnology at the University of Genova, MSc in Bone Reconstruction, award-winning specialist in oral surgery and implantology (University of Pisa), with over 10 years experience of research in oral health. Strong communication and leadership skills that helped expanding the scientific network of the Tuscan Stomatologic Institute. National scientific qualification as associate professor in stomatology with experience in teaching at the University of Pisa in graduate and post-graduate courses. International speaker at several dental meetings, including IADR world congresses in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and upcoming 2019. Winner of the ADR/PHILIPS ORAL HEALTHCARE YOUNG INVESTIGATOR RESEARCH GRANT with the project titled “The influence of different surgical protocols on the outcome of dental implants in diabetic patients.”. Author of more than 50 scientific publications in impacted scientific journals (see below), co-author of three books, active member of IADR, IAO (Italian Academy of Osteointegration). Excellent English and French speaker, professional tennis player, proud dad.
ADMISSION AND SELECTION CRITERIA
In order to be admitted to the Master Program (CPD Course)’s Course, it is compulsory to hold at least one of the following degrees title:
- MSc in “Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics” or other equivalent qualification class LM-46; EQF: 7.
- MSc in “Medicine and Surgery” or other equivalent qualification class LM-41; EQF: 7.
Candidates in possession of an academic qualification obtained abroad, equivalent in duration and content to those listed above, can apply as well. In the latter case, candidates must provide Declaration of Value, issued by the Italian Consular Authority of the country of study (together with “Transcript of Records” + duplicate of final degree) or CIMEA Statements of Comparability along with CIMEA Statements of Verification (through CIMEA platform) or Diploma Supplement (in case of European Degrees) issued by the University of origin and legalized by the Italian Embassy of the country of study. Candidates who do not have or do not present by the first day of class the requirements laid down in the regulations in force, forfeit their enrolment if already admitted and have no right to refunds of any amount paid to the University. In case of lacking of the aforementioned requirements, Didactic Administrative Office can exclude candidates from the Master Program (CPD Course) at any time and with a justified provision.
PROCEDURES AND TERMS OF PRESENTATION OF THE APPLICATION
The application must be submitted via the GOMP student portal following instructions given in the GUIDE by 5th December 2025.
In order to complete your application, you will need to provide the following documents, which will be attached to the portal during the procedure:
- curriculum vitae et studiorum in European format, dated and signed, in PDF format;
- PDF format of a valid identity document;
- PDF format of the degree certificate;
- JPG or PNG format of a personal photo;
- any additional qualifications you wish to submit for assessment for admission;
- declaration that you have read the information regarding the processing of personal data pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the “protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data” (hereinafter also “GDPR”) provided by UniCamillus.
- photocopy of the tax code or health card (for Italian citizens and foreigners in possession of one);
- for candidates in possession of qualifications equivalent/equivalent to those required: declaration in lieu of certification, pursuant to art. 46 point m of D.P.R. 28/12/2000, no. 445, certifying the achievement of the qualifications in question, in accordance with current legislation.
- Payment of first instalment.
For candidates with qualifications equivalent/equivalent to those required:
– Dichiarazione di Valore in Loco issued by the Italian Consular Authority of the country of study (accompanied by transcript of records + copy of the final diploma) or CIMEA Certificate of Comparability accompanied by CIMEA Certificate of Verification (by accessing the CIMEA platform) or Diploma Supplement (if it is a European qualification) issued by the University of origin and legalised at the Italian Embassy of the country of study. Students who submit incomplete documentation will be admitted with reservation and cannot complete their enrolment until all the required documentation has been submitted.
Conditional enrolment will not be accepted due to incomplete documentation or incorrect entry of data on the application form.
Following admission, candidates will have to follow the enrolment procedure following the indications provided in the appropriate guide, which will be sent by email together with the notification of admission to the CPD course.

TUITION FEES
The registration fee is € 11.500,00 plus € 50,00 for secretarial fees (including registration and degree certificate issue stamp duty) to be paid in 3 instalments:
- € 3.500 + € 50 → by 5 December 2025 at the time of registration and in any case within 5 December 2025
- € 4.000 by 1 June 2026
- € 4.000 by 1 December 2026
Failure in paying the fee by the deadline will result in suspension of access to the platform and in non- admission to the final exam. Interruption of any kind in students’attendance to lessons and didactic activities does not exempt them from paying the remaining installments.
RIGHT TO RECONSIDER – Within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of payment, students may exercise the right to reconsider. As a consequence, students unilaterally waive from their enrolment by explicitly communicating to UniCamillus their willing to waive. This request should be sent by certified email to postlaurea.unicamillus@pec.it. In case of exercising this right to reconsider, UniCamillus will proceed to refund the paid amount within the following 14 (fourteen) days – withholding an amount of 5% of the paid sum for secretarial services – using the same means of payment previously employed by theUser, unless expressly indicating a different means of payment. Except for mandatory cases, expressly stated in this announcement, no refund will be made under any circumstances.
RIGHT TO WAIVE STUDIES – By exercising the right of abandonment or waiver of studies, students will no longer have access to any educational activity and or qualification to use the tools UniCamillus puts at their disposal. Students wishing to waive must submit a waiver application using an online procedure. They must access the student portal(GOMP) with their credentials, visiting the “ careers > applications > study waiver application” section. In case of waiver, the amounts paid until the moment of presentation of the waiver request will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. Students who waive or abandon their studies after the beginning of classes are required to pay the whole amount of fees.
